Piano Recital for Verdi and Wagner birth bicentenary
For the anniversary of two of the most important 19th century opera composers, Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner, both of them born in 1813, Carbonara presents an interesting and challenging program including some of the finest Liszt paraphrases for solo piano. THe pieces show the different creative phases of the two composers as well as the various Liszt styles in trascription and elaboration, and we’ll find some famous pieces as well as less known and played ones. FromTrovatore to Simon Boccanegra, from Der fliegende Hollaender to Parsifal, fantastic music and a piano recital full of poetry and bravura.
